Josephat Bwire
Founder & CEO

Josephat Bwire is the founder and executive director of Fountain Youth Initiative. He was born and raised in the slums of Githurai, where he experienced devastating realities of life in extreme poverty at first hand.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology & Economics from the University of Nairobi and post graduate diploma in Project Management from the Kenya Institute of Project Management. He has worked in the NGO sector in various departments for local, national & international organizations. He is in charge of designing projects, fundraising and networking. He currently serves as the Ambassador of Ball to all.

 

 

Lillian Nyakio
FYI Program Manager

Lilian Wanjera is the program manager; she has a diploma in community development and certificate in accounting from KCA University. She has over four years experience working with local and national charitable organizations. She oversees project implementation and monitoring as well as personnel.

Diana Wanjiku
Githurai Project Manager

Diana Wanjiku is a passionate social scientist with a bachelor’s degree in Gender and Development studies and a certificate in leadership from Kenyatta University. Additionally, she is a post graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in Community Resource Management from the aforementioned University. Diana has worked with local and international organizations for more than two years before joining the organization.

She is responsible for the execution of Nurturing program which houses the Reproductive and Development Health Project, Back to school project and the Inuka Scholarship project.

Joyce Wangechi
Finance & Administration Manager

Joyce Miano is the finance and administration manager: She has a degree in Community Resource Management & Extension and CPA 2. She has two years experience working with micro-finance institutions. She manages finances and administration activities of the organization.

Benson Muteka
ICT Manager

Benson Muteka is the ICT manager; he holds a higher diploma in Information & Technology from Kenya University.  He has over four years experience working in ICT industry. He facilitates trainings on computer use & repair and also manages all our ICT system.

Emmah Wanjiru
Tailoring Project Officer

Emmah Wanjiru is the project officer; she has a diploma in Tailoring & Dress Making from the National Industrial Vocational Training Center of Nairobi. She has adequate experience gained from working with various textile enterprises for over 5 years. She facilitates training in tailoring & dress making as well as gender based violence.

Robert Wandera
Busia Project Manager

Robert Wandera is the Busia County project manager; He has a diploma in community development from Masinde Muliro University. He has over 5 years experience working with local and national charitable organizations in the rural areas of western part of Kenya. He manages and coordinates all projects being implemented in the rural areas of Busia County.

Helen Musungu
Early Childhood Project Officer

Hellen Musungu is the project officer: She has a certificate in community development and Early Childhood Education. She has over three years experience working as a teacher. She facilitates mentorship sessions and data collection in the rural areas of Busia County.
