Every child is unique and full of imagination. Children that come from disadvantaged backgrounds lack the opportunity to explore their creativity, largely due to a lack of facilities within the community. These children are only engaged in formal education if they are fortunate enough to enroll, and any access to art programs is nonexistent. In order to provide the disadvantaged children with creative opportunities, we have teamed up with other patrons to support the Art Appreciation project.
This project involves identifying and nurturing drawing and painting talents among local vulnerable children. The artwork educates the public on various issues such as environmental management, peaceful coexistence and good leadership. The artwork is usually printed on postcards, calendars and shirts and then sold. Most of the proceeds go towards their school fees and supplies, while any remaining money is used to buy more art supplies. This means that more and more local children can be involved in the project.
